This is probably the kind of set I would spin on the Bentley rooftop, like we did back in 2010. Good times... I dedicate this mix to all the nice people I hung out with at WMC 2009 and 2010. I'll be having a sun bath and some nice gigs in Dubai the next week. I hope to record and post, but in the meantime enjoy Episode 015! ~~ read the promo piece on bringthebeats
Lots of varied house sounds in this one. I started with a bunch of great tunes that I wasn't sure would go well together, but turned them into a mix I'm really happy with on my first attempt. I have some new tracks to look out for in the coming weeks. There Is No Light is being released on Oh! Records and I have a three-track EP coming out on the South American label Deported! Music. Speaking of South America, I'll be in Argentina next month, so keep an eye out for the dates. ~~ read the promo piece on bringthebeats
Episode 014 joins 010 and 008 as the episodes of mine I’m most proud of. I’ve given up some of the funk for more textured melodies and emotion. I didn’t plan to go this way but it’s just what came out of all my recent music. Hope you like it too.
This could be a little time travelling mix, as I’m soooo bored of most of the copycat productions that come out these days. It’s so rare to find something original and unique. Everybody is making the same beats with the same bases. Again you’ll hear the more melodic side of me with one of my favourite intros of the past 14 episodes. Hope this will win your heart. Enjoy it!
If I look at The Rogue Podcast No.13, it’s definitely an unlucky number. This was the hardest episode to put together. When you come to the point where you want to show the world all the good music you have, especially if there’s a lot of non-club music you want to share and include in 74-80 minutes… well... it’s never been easy. All my previous mixes have been made with the same concept. I always want to add something extra. Something that can make my mix a bit different from the hundreds of new mixes you can grab every day, be it a great opener or a few chill songs at the end. This one was made with the same idea. I started with the most beautiful song of 2011 (Gang Gang Dance - Glass Jar) and included 2 chill from a Swedish and Greek band at the end of the journey. Anyway, long story short, this is just another piece of me with songs that you could rarely hear mixed together within 74 minutes. Please don’t skip through, hear it at full length. That’s the best way to enjoy it!
A lot of melody in this one with some old school house vibes thrown in for good measure. I've also included a couple new productions of mine. Happy New Year everyone!
This one goes nice and deep throughout. After releasing a five-part live set, I thought that it would be appropriate to keep things on the deeper tip. I’ve got a habit of buying tons of tunes that I can rarely use in clubs, but still need to be heard. So here they are.
I think this is my deepest Rogue mix ever – it may be the dark fall evenings – but its still filled with stories and moods.
The show must go on.... Each episode continues to be my favourite. It’s my shortest Rogue mix, but you still get the story I want to tell. I insisted to include the amazing intro from Yonderboi's (Hungary) new album (Passive Control), that everyone must hear… of course, after you’ve listened to The Rogue Show. The typical weird ending comes straight from 1984.
Nothing fancy here. Just a lot of great music I've been playing out the last while. Hope you dig it!
This is probably my deepest Rogue Show mix so far. I had a ton of great stuff I haven't been able to play out and thought it would complement my recent clubbier live set from Slovenia that I released in June.
After a little summer break with the podcast, I couldn’t wait to put the milestone episode 10 together. Every actual episode turns out my favourite of all, so has this one. This turned out to be another story teller mix. With simply browsing it you won’t get the message, so you better give it a full listen from the beginning to the end. A bit of everything again , intelligent house music, some cosmic disco, a kick ass funk tune (coming out on Add2Basket Records) even a big beat track and a beautiful indie song at the very end. Bon Voyage dear listener!
Tried to expand the mix again as much as I can, including a bit of this and a bit of that. Found a beautiful part in the new Bibio album that I ended up using as the intro, its probably my favourite part of the mix. But in general, I consider Episode 009 as another baby of mine, that i am pretty proud of.
Used some nice melodic stuff near the beginning that I haven't been able to play out anywhere followed by a bunch of house bombs.
A little less disco, a few more retro influences and a lot of great melodic stuff makes up my WMC edition. Hope you dig it!
Again I tried to extend the mix to as long as possible so it could still fit on a CD. Got badly bored of the thousands of tech house releases coming out every week, so I decided to put together something more for the soul. The coordinates from beginning till the end are: slow motion and deep disco, deep house, house, and some melodies to end again.
Included some fresh promos, some older gems, some clubby and some home listening pieces and masterpieces. Enjoy!
Tons of deep, old school and classic vibes along with warmth and proper melodies to make it through the dead of winter.
Just another straight-up house mix with the usual disco influences. You know the drill!
Housey, funky vibes all around from some of the more known and some of the lesser known artists and labels in the scene. Freshhhhh!!
